and gold toning toward the rims on both sides. An issue that seldom comes with any real
"color," making the present satiny gem of strong interest to those who
appreciate richly toned commemorative half dollars.Designed to celebrate the
Sesquicentennial of the founding of Columbia, South Carolina, this issue was designed by
A. Wolfe Davidson. The obverse depicts symbols of the local government, while the reverse
