Grade : gVF to XF with minor parts of the inscriptions weak or in part off the flan (including the obverse initial mark). A very nice portrait of Elizabeth, with slightly more detail than is visible on the image.
Obverse : Head of Elizabeth left, with ELIZABETH D G' ANG FR ET HI REGINA around (meaning Elizabeth by the grace of God, England, France, and Ireland, Queen).
Reverse : Long cross through a shield, with the date 1578 above the shield, with POSVI DEV' ADIVTOREM MEVM (meaning I HAVE MADE GOD MY HELPER). |
