slightly wavy flan. There is a little more detail on the head than you can see on the
image.
Obverse : Head of Elizabeth left, with ELIZABETH D G' ANG FR ET HI REGINA around
(meaning Elizabeth by the grace of God, England, France, and Ireland, Queen).
Reverse :
Long cross through a shield, with the date 1578 above the shield, with POSVI DEV'
