Description: * Cent. SP-60, brushed * Five cents. SP-60. Deep and sultry gunmetal-blue * Ten cents.
SP-60. Warm gray and gunmetal-blue on the obverse, golden gray on the reverse *
Twenty-five cents. SP-63. Similar in tone to the ten-cent piece, perhaps a little deeper
and richer here * Fifty cents. SP-63. Similar to the twenty-five cent piece for toning
highlights. Red leatherette box of issue, purple interior, leather strip adhered to outer
top of box with FIRST COINAGE OF CANADIAN MINT / OTTAWA / 1908 and gilt frame impressed.
Box Charlton-6c. Box in decent shape, no major problems save for a touch of fraying here
or there. (Total: 5 pieces).According to the Charlton reference, the impressed red leather
strips that adorn boxes similar to the one offered here were mailed separately to
customers who may have been the earliest recipients of Charlton-6a, a plain red box
without any embossed information.
