Fantastically struck 30% off-center toward the 11:00 position, and toward the 7:00
position of the reverse, which has left us guessing whether this is a mintmarked coin or a
plain old Philadelphia mint issue. Strike is full, fields are lustrous, and the coin is
toned medium gold and areas of deeper russet-gray. A short scuff is noted near point of
Liberty's bust. Very scarce, as this date is not encountered in off-center format with the
frequency of some of the later 1930s and 1940s issues.
