Name: Pair of 1926-S Oregon Trail Memorial half dollars
Description: The coins are both MS-65. One is deeply toned charcoal gray, blue and violet over lustrous
silver surfaces. The other is mottled golden gray, deep blue-gray, russet and violet over
bright silver surfaces. Both are very attractively and naturally toned from years of
storage in their original holder. The holder is for three pieces, with tabs to hold the
coins in place. However, one tab has been torn away. The face of the card is with the
Oregon Trail Memorial Association address at 95 Madison Avenue, New York City. The mailing
envelope (with matching return address) is typical worn condition, with a few figures
penned at the right end. An attractive Oregon Trail pair. (Total: 2 coins; 1 holder; 1
mailing envelope)
Price: $1,495.00 (2005-03-08)
